Mumbai - Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has filmed a song together with his wife Jaya Bachchan, for the movie "Gangadevi", currently in production.
Big B and his wife have not shared the film stage since they starred together in the 1981 production of Silsila. After so long apart on the screen fans will be delighted to see the couple sing together again.
According to the Times of India Amitabh and Jaya will lip synch the song that has been sung by Sudesh Bhonsale, as Amitabh was out of the station when it was recorded. Big B was then hospitalized for surgery due to stomach problems.
Deepak Sawant, who is producing "Gangadevi" said "there was great excitement when the song was being shot."
Amitabh's singing skills were recently recorded for the movie "Kahaani", in which he sings "Eklo Chalo Re." Apunkachoice reports his musical rendition of poet Rabindranath Tagore's "Eklo Chalo Re " has been acclaimed as an inspired highlight of the film.
After recording "EKlo Chalo Re" Big B wrote on his blog "“May I just say that singing Rabindrasangeet for the first time was the greatest revelation. The beauty of the language, the lyricism of the tune and its dhun are outstanding."
