A corporate film made on The German Orthopaedic Hospital (GOH) in Bahrain, has won three international Omni Intermedia Awards at Kentucky, US.
The film created by the Bahrain agency bCentral picked up awards in three categories - Corporate Film, Medical Corporate Film and Direction and Television Commercial at the Omni awards.
The Omni Intermedia Awards, owned and operated by Media Corp, carries with it the distinction of being chosen by industry peers as an example of excellence.
Patterned after the Emmy awards, the Omni recognizes outstanding media productions that engage, empower and enlighten.
Karolline Immanuel, managing director of bCentral Bahrain, the agency that created the film and TVC was thrilled on receiving this news.
“The film has done very well,” she said, “following on from a Platinum MarCom Award by the AMCP (Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals) in Arlington, Texas, US and an Intercom Award in the Chicago International Film Festival’s Communication and Media Competition in November 2011.
"We’re overjoyed with the Omni Awards where we’ve taken not one but three Omnis which give us yet another feather in our caps,” she added.
The film cuts back and forth between the GOH medical staff and the patient experience from registration through to operation and post-operative support.
Each assertion by the medical and surgical team is substantiated and the viewer is able to see the equipments, process and service offered in action. The clear directorial style of Vikram Gupta from Bollywood, which underscores the face-to-face concept, helped the corporate film win in this area.
Prof Dr Heinz Roettinger, the visionary founder and head of Bahrain’s German Orthopaedic Hospital, is just as pleased with this honour.
“I am happy that we are winning recognition in other fields. But, of course GOH’s excellence is in the field of orthopaedic and medical care and winning these awards shows that we demand high standards in everything we do,” he beamed.
The GOH was set up in 2010 and is a project funded by Venture Capital Bank in association with other GCC investors.-TradeArabia News Service
